commercial/retail complex

These photos show a retail / commercial complex under construction just off Sunshine Avenue in Kealba. Whilst the architect is not known, most of the concrete used on site has been supplied by Precast Systems Pty Ltd.







As you can see throughout the construction,the building is made up largely of precast,tilt-up concrete panels.





















The extensive use of bracing and propping can be seen in these images to resist any construction or wind loads imposed on the building. Props here are connected to cast-in inserts.









When panels are particularly large or include cut outs , 'strongbacks' can be applied to prevent failure of the panels when they are lifted by the crane.These are shown here in the images,as different sized steel beams bolted hard up against the panels.
